k... learning the art of the "Social Media"... interesting system... post click tweet retweet ... no IM? just twitter?... you can @ me or D me?.. and how fast it has been catching on!... there will be a few stuck in the backwash... I am surprised how many people have a twitter... a lot aren't using it much but still... I like twitter... I can just speak to no one.. or everyone!... if I have a good tweet it gets retweeted on down the twitterverse.. or not... It's hard to cut the thoughts down to 140 chars but still,... that make you think of expressing your thoughts shorter...

but,.. still there is a lot of potential here... now... how can I get paid to do this stuff... oh... marketing!!... or I can get my comic done and posted... and pray that some generous reader will donate to some sorta "Donate to the starving artist type person" button click pay me site..... or just send me cash... :) ...

With the Popularity of "Dr. Horrible's sing-along-blog" and the promoters of the "Join the Evil League of Evil" contest it seems I may need to learn from their promotion techniques... if I had content..

Evil is on the rise even in the economy. With all the layoffs, how do they expect products to be purchased? Loss of jobs = lack of purchases = loss of more jobs!!

Maybe I'm a bit scornful having been laid off last November but it sorta makes sense.

though I do have an interview next week... that would be great to get a job... but with the economy crash it makes it a "buyers market" for man power... more competition = less chance of changing carriers... I would love to get the job though... I have "Object Oriented Programming" experience and schooling.. just not a Computer Science Degree...

Well,... off to do some more work on the story... need to rework the plot structure...

ok... I am looking for work... real work that I can get paid for... not to keep me from going insane! (though I need that too... this blog/webcomic idea thing keeps me preoccupied with the insanity check...)

I am a master at troubleshooting Electrical control systems. but need to get my Journeymans licence to work in the field... and that cost money($125)... but rent/food/gas/electrics/internet/ect... needs to be paid to survive and I am unsure if it is wise for me to get back into electrical. I may not get back out... long hours and no time to work on my art/animation skilz... what I need is a internship at a game studio art department or an animation studio...

I applied at DAZ3d right out of college but I just wasn't good enough then... I have been practicing... gotten better but now the job market has tanked entertainmet jobs are few and far between.... Last year I applied at Sensory Sweep and 8fish Animation to no reply.... I can design... so lately I have been hunting Electrical Design jobs down... had one interview but not enough experience doing Electrical Design they said... so,.. unemployed I am appling for food stamps... uhg... It's not the fact that I cant get a job that bugs me...

what bugs me the most is that I can't seem to get a job even at a 7-11... I am a college graduate, served 4 years honorably in the US Navy, Worked the Oilfields of BFE Wyoming (with kudos!), worked in the Packaging industry for 4 years as a Designer/draftsman and now.... heading for the rapids without a paddle...

drawing a bunch more than I used too lately... each night i get the laptop and the Wacom out and play in Photoshop. I got a bunch of "How to draw 50 ____ characters" from the library and have challenged myself to draw them all... I don't know if I can post re-rendered characters from a "how to" book on the web.... still need to tweek the crest too.. it seems kinda bare..

ok,.. I have been throwing around costume/character designs lately and have a good grasp of the Evil Minion Academy Uniforms... the crest still needs work but I have been inspired by another crest. I may work on it today if I can stop focusing on my "Project X"

I have an idea for something... that I can't get into until I can get it developed... It has been in development for several years with no prototype due to manufacturing restrictions and my lack of electronics training. It is a complicated system that I understand the concept but not the implementation... not enough information... I may just give up on it and use it in the comic.

I do want to go back to college and learn more but I don't know what to take.

I have a knack for programming, programed (using control logic mind you,.. i.e. Nand, Nor, And, Or, Flip-Flops,...ect.) and wired up a safety valve system (50" and 48" motor operated valve control system for a ChevronTexaco Sulfur Gas plant.) I was an Electrician for 10+ years and mastered Motor Controls and Instrumentation,.. have played with Visual Basic for the last 3 years and have been paid to build a VB program.. but the job market is needing PHP programming or this... Joomba? ...need more information...

I love Animation and want to do that... but my art skills need work so I want to take art... I need more information on story/character development.... creative writing... cinematography... lighting.. setting... set design... color theory.. concept art development... posing,... timing... and the rest of the "Principals of Animation".. I do have some time playing in Flash,... Mirage/TVPaint, Plastic Animation Paper(PAP), Toon Boom,... and the open source program Pencil.

Industrial Design is badazz but,... need more information... I can draft in most any CAD software especially Packaging based like ArtiosCAD or Score!6... I am fairly apt at AutoCAD. I realy enjoy working in 3D CAD software like Solidworks, Rinocorous, or my favorite 3D Studio Max. Maya is cool but still need more information on it... it likes to fight me more than most... I have Photoshop Elements 3.0 that came with my Wacom but would still enjoy the CS3 pack or better the CS4 pack of adobe stuff... I have fun with Illustrator... but don't have a copy at home. I use open source Inkscape.

The comic is more for me to play with. I was hoping it would encourage me to work on my art by drawing more but I have been rather worried about getting a good story. That seems to shine in all the comics I enjoy is the story. The art can be sub par as long as it gets me involved in the story... hopefully my art wont be too much of a distraction from the story,... ahh...the art of the comic... is difficult line of art and content... staging... design... similar to animation just set on Key frames instead of frames... timing is also important in the comic... I figured it would be a good training ground for me... and hopefully I can receive some constructive input from readers... that would be nice... or even a "you suck!" to encourage me to do better...

now that I am out of work... *sigh* ... and having a hard time finding a job anywhere... I sit and contemplate my comic.... It is the best way for me to practice until I get better... so bare with me as it may be a bumpy start. Inexperienced comic in it's infantile stages..

story struggles

ok, so why can't I get this story written? I know what I want but... ok.. so it needs work.. need more characters,... more data developed... I have been working on the complex and how it is laid out... should be close. characters are mostly developed.. the major one anyway... still would like to build on some of the supporting characters... I seem to have a good start on the logo/crest for the Academy... I am working on the plot line too.. where do I want the story to "aim"... what will happen when... have been using freemind software for that... a good mind map sure gives you a graphical view of how things tie together...
